Dennis, fotografo di West Hollywood, sta per festeggiare il suo ventottesimo compleanno con i suoi amici, tutti omosessuali come lui. Del gruppo fanno parte il palestrato Benji, Howie, studente di psicologia, Cole, attore pieno di carisma, Patrick che gioca a fare il cinico e Taylor cui piace molto recitare.
