L’ambasciatore di uno stato africano da poco indipendente prende contatto con un gruppo di scassinatori per rubare una pietra preziosa, simbolo dell’antica civiltà della nazione, conservata in un museo americano. I malviventi si tuffano nell’impresa con tanta buona volontà e, nonostante molti pasticci, riescono a impadronirsi del gioiello.
