Nick e Libby Parsons vivono felicemente assieme al figlioletto Matty in una lussuosa casa a largo della costa occidentale, dove tengono cocktail e collezionano opere d'arte. Una sera, durante un romantico week-end in barca, Libby si risveglia in stato confusionale trovando tracce di sangue su di lei e per tutta la barca.
