Seok-wu è un manager finanziario separato dalla moglie: la piccola Su-an spesso si sente trascurata da lui e preferisce la compagnia della madre. Sul treno su cui viaggiano i due, per portare Su-an dalla madre che vive a Busan, sale una ragazza che riporta delle ferite strane sul corpo, simili al morso di un animale. Presto si trasformerà in zombi e sul treno per Busan si scatenerà l'inferno.
